Nevertheless, the Switch boasts an exceptional battery life that surpasses its competitors. In our testing, using the middle temperature with standard cups, we achieved 96 cycles before the battery depleted. However, this was without any cleaning cycles, which would have decreased battery life further.
In a more realistic scenario, using the stock cups with various temperatures and including cleaning cycles, we managed 48 sessions and 11 cleaning cycles before the battery died. However, it's worth noting that while the Switch offers this versatility, it's not primarily designed for dry herb vaping.
Portable but big
If you're seeking a portable, easy-to-use option like the Puffco Peak for on-the-go hits, the Switch may not be the best fit. Standing at 13" tall, it's twice the size of other e-rigs, making it more akin to at-home concentrate rigs with its large glass bubblers, electronic controllers, and wires. However, within this context, the Switch truly shines. Despite its compact size and lack of exposed hot spots, it's still easily portable and I can move around the house with it effortlessly. Plus, the Switch packaging conveniently doubles as a carrying case, perfect for taking it to someone else's party. While it boasts great battery life and portability, don't expect to see it on many beaches or accompanying dog walks.

During consecutive sessions, the Switch may enter cool-down mode to safeguard its internal circuitry. While it may seem inconvenient, it's a protective measure to preserve your investment. The device will blink blue until the process is complete, so be patient and allow it to finish. Interrupting the cool-down process will prompt it to restart upon powering up again. Additionally, if you utilize the self-cleaning mode or premium cups in Quartz Mode, the Switch will enter cool-down mode more quickly and undergo a longer cooling period.
